CS-480 Auto-Chemistry Analyzer

The CS-480 is a fully automatic, floor-standing chemistry analyzer for high-volume hospital and reference laboratories. It runs 400 photometric tests per hour, rising to 800 with the ISE module, and can hold 110 colorimetric assays and 3 ISE items (Na, K, Cl) on board at once. Colorimetric, turbidimetric and ISE methods cover the full reagent menu: liver, kidney, cardiac, lipid, diabetes (including HbA1c), pancreatic, rheumatology, immune-protein and inorganic/anaemia panels.

Up to 115 sample positions take standard cups or primary tubes, and a double reagent disk holds 112 positions. The sample probe detects liquid level and clots and is protected against collision. The 120-cuvette reaction disk runs at 37 ± 0.1 °C in a circulating water bath, with a minimum reaction volume of 120 µL, and the cuvettes are washed automatically in seven stages. Twelve wavelengths from 340 to 800 nm give a linear range up to 3.6 Abs. HbA1c is tested on whole blood with the on-board haemolysis function, and QC follows Westgard rules with LIS connection over RJ-45.
